Frederick continues to get better. He was given some tickets to the Seahawks game and his brother Michael took him on Saturday. Thank you Michael, you know I didn’t want to be in that crowd. You are an awesome little brother to Frederick. I guess you guys had a good time. Of course, when they left during the third quarter, that’s when the Seahawks scored. By the time Frederick got home he was totally wiped out, but he had a good time. He was so wiped out that he didn’t make it to church on Sunday. He continues to have pain in his head and has not eaten much in the last couple of days. Thank God for Campbells chicken noodle soup. That and canned fruit cocktail. They are sustaining him right now. Please continue to pray that God will show himself mighty in this healing process.Â
By the way, today is our 14th Anniversary. I totally forgot and I guess Frederick did too because he didn’t mention it and now he’s gone to bed. I’ll tell him tomorrow. These 14 years have been full, blessed and at times trying, but God has a plan for us together as a couple and every once in a while, when we get on one accord, we actually move it it. Please pray for our musical union, that we will write more and sing more to the glory of God! Also, that God will show us how to use all of our life experiences to witness of the great grace and mercy that He extends to all of us.
Praise God from Whom all blessings flow!

PRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD! We are so surprised and humbled by the love that was expressed to us on Saturday night by the time, talent and financial tokens of love that were given. First of all thank God for Sharon and Cedric for taking on the task of pulling off such a wonderful event. Then all the people who labored to help get things done and to make it happen. Especially Leslie, Denise B., Denise J and Angela J. and the guys from Pyramid. It was a wonderful night, the music was great, the fellowship was sweet and it was very humbling to know how much people care. I likened the night to giving Frederick his flowers while he was alive to see and smell them. Everytime we talk about it, it just brings shivers of happiness. You all just don’t realize what a blessing you continue to be to us. Thank you to everyone who came and shared in any way.
Frederick has his last radiation treatment tomorrow and chemo ends with radiation. We are told it will be a month before the MRI will be done to check to see how things have progressed. We don’t know yet when he will see his surgeon or chemo oncologist. Please keep all these appointments in your prayers that it will be all good news to the Glory of God!
Ericka is looking forward to getting back to school and not babysitting her Dad. But I want to publicly say how much I appreciate her stepping up to do so many things around the house and miss a lot of her summer to help her Dad. She deserves a metal of honor. And I can’t forget our son Jerrold. He has been there for us too in every way. I even got him to mop the floors for me cause Frederick has me spoiled. I haven’t mopped a floor in years. I really love and appreciate my family.
We rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice…!

Just a quick note to let you all know that radiation is suppose to end next week on Tuesday the 21st. Chemo should end at that time also. Then we’re not sure when but Frederick should be checked by surgeon and oncologist so we can all see what God is doing! Please continue to pray for his physical therapy and strength to his right side.
Also want to say Thank you to Hannah Tunis for the beautiful picture of Brother Frederick and his guitar. We’ll have to schedule your ice cream time real soon!
Okay, keep up the prayers and loving thoughts and wonderful sacrifices of kindness and all that good stuff. We appreciate you all and we owe you our very lives (aside from Christ that is, but he works through his people so that includes you!)

Well, we’ve made it through another week. The radiation which was being sent to an area around the remaining tumor mass will now be focused on the actual tumor mass. We don’t know at this time if the radiation and chemo have done their job yet, but we pray that along with the Lord’s hand on Frederick, that they have shrunk and or completely eliminated the remaining tumor.Â
Frederick’s brother Michael took him to the movies last Saturday. They had a good time and it didn’t take too much out of Frederick. Of course, that means he wants to go again.Â
We can’t continue to say enough Thank you’s for all the care and concern we are getting. We continue to be blessed with good food, and many other blessings. God is showing us that through all of this, he is still in control. We praise him for that. As we wait for our change to come, we just want to be close to the Lord and know that we are hearing his voice. Thank you for your continued prayers.
Thanks to you who checked on Frederick while Ericka was gone to camp last week also. She had a great time and Frederick was not alone all that time while she was gone.
Love ya’ll

Yesterday we were visited by an angel of the Lord. When I came home to find a brown paper bag on my front porch. My first inclination was to throw it away, but thank God I took it inside and looked in it. Praise God! There was a unexpected financial blessing. No note, no indication of where it came from but please know whoever you are that we are so appreciative. We are speechless, except that I had to write something on the blog! Yes times are hard and the future is still not clear, but God never ceases to amaze us with his love and grace. Our family all over has just proved again and again that the love of God and the love of his people makes everything (EVERYTHING) all right! Especially because God already knew the things he had planned for us, good and bad and he already had a plan for taking us through! Our prayer is that as God takes us through, as he burns off the dross, we will come forth as pure gold, not just for our sakes, but for Gods’ glory!
