Where do I start…it’s been a long week. Monday was INR check day. Frederick’s INR was too low meaning his blood was too thick. Tuesday was the oncologist. He hadn’t ordered an MRI so we were not sure what to expect. Frederick told the doctor about some symptoms he’s been having that point to partial paralysis on the left side of his face. The doctor is now stumped. We will have to do an MRI to see if the tumor has shrunk any. I asked the doctor to just be straight with us cause it seems he’s been trying to give us good news that really isn’t there. That’s in relations to telling us the tumor is shrinking while the radiolgist who read the MRI’s is saying there has been no change. The doctor agreed reluctantly. Now we are back to what to do. The doctor suggested we can do more chemo, but not if the tumor really isn’t shrinking. We could do nothing and see if the tumor starts to grow. We can also go forward with talking about the cyberknife or gammaknife. So it was a little disappointing but it just means we continue to pray and trust God. Frederick is still experiencing the mobility problems and just when he thinks he’s doing good getting around a little on his own, he has a fall. He fell twice today. He says his legs just went out on him. Thank God someone was home with him both times.
I had a doctor’s appointment on Thursday for myself and all week we’ve been preparing for our annual Fondue at work. The fondue was last night. It went well and then Ericka had a basketball game that we had to get to by 8:30am. You guessed, we are too pooped to peep. But I won’t let the laundry go cause I hate having to do 6-7 loads at one time.
As always, we thank you all for your love, prayers, kindness gifts and good cooking. Special shout out to Fran Hooper for the carrot cake, Pat Renfro for the —–cake aka caramel cake, and Daphne DeChabert for the pound cake. Mary Means for the great chicken chili, Cindy Reed for the Sheperd’s pie that Jerrold ate most of Ursula Bradford for some dynamite catfish, Hala’s Beef Stew, Meri Hall who fixed 3 meals at once and many other that I can’t recall right at the moment, but please know that it wasn’t on purpose.
Okay, I’m rambling now cause I’m getting sleepy.
Bless you family of God!

Today is Big Fred’s 54th birthday! Praise God! Though God has not chosen to manifest the healing yet, we are grateful for life.
Frederick’s been really tired the past few days. We don’t know what to make of that. We did go to Rainier Health & Fitness Wednesday night to meet with a physical therapist to get some ideas of exercises Frederick could do. She gave us some good information and hopefully we’ll be getting to the gym at least twice a week to start off and then build up to more. On Monday, we see the oncologist again. We’re hoping for some miraculous news!
Please keep praying as I know you are. Our faith is strengthened by your prayers and we can’t express how appreciative we are for your prayers and acts of kindness.
God Bless you!

Hello to you, it’s been a relatively quiet week. Frederick had a slight spill on Tuesday morning but no harm no foul. His INR (blood) was too thin last week, but hopefully it will be better at his next check. They are letting him go for a week and a half before the next check and they have adjusted the dosage, again. It seems to be a strange science and really makes you wonder how our bodies work and regulate themselves. It also makes me think about taking better care of myself so that my body can work the way it’s suppose to. Frederick will see the oncologist on the 19th of this month. We are praying for lots of good news.
Frederick has been eating very well and already we had to buy new unmentionables because the last ones I bought are too small. We’ll find out what his weight is at the next doctor appointment. They prayer is that his appetite will come back without the medicines that he is taking. He has been taking the steroid decadron and taking marinol to help his appetite. For exercise, He has walked behind a grocery cart a few times to help him get stronger and it seems to be helping some, but needs to be done more. Also we are still waiting for the physical therapist to help us with a routine at the gym that will help build his muscles and strengthen him.
As I think about this situation, we have been fighting this since June 2007. That’s approximately 8 months. It feels like it’s been longer. I cannot imagine what the woman with the issue of blood was going through for all the years she had to wait to be healed. We’re trusting that it won’t take that long for Frederick to be healed, but, if that’s what God chooses, we still trust and believe that God has a plan in it all. We are adjusting to it and trying to continue to live for the Lord. There are plenty of people who have been in worse situations so we really have nothing to complain about.
God is still on the throne.
Love ya
