I got a lot of good stuff done in my studio the past few days. A couple of friends, Dwayne and Cedric, came by on different days to help me arrange a bunch of gear in the room. It’s going to be hot as I get it done a little at a time. I still have some stuff that can go into the new space, so I’ll have to put some shelves and stuf up around the room to fit it all in. I’ve stil got to hang a couple of guitars on the walls, CD’s too. I’ve got to work on the old closet space to make it over to a vocal booth. Smooth! Soon we’ll have a nice little space for recording some Holy Ghost tunes.

Thanksgiving is next and I’m eady to eat some good grub. I’m gonna get my eat on too. Then the next day I’l be beating down some leftovers. Turkey sandwhiches with cranberry suace. Oh man I’m hungry ight now, sow down Big Fred

Last week was a busy one. I had a lot of appointments with doctors and MRIs. I had an MTI on my brian tumor and one on my knee from a fall a couple of weeks ago. I’m still wearing a brace on my knee and keep putting ice on it from time to time. My knee is added pain. But I’m getting along. My doctor tells me my brain tumor is the same which ranslates to stable. So I’m livin’ while I’m livin’. I’ve been off from my daily walks for a week or so but plan to get back to it next week. I’d like to get back to where I was before I hurt my knee.

My son Frederick, IV came by to see me this past Saturday. We had a real nice time talking and stuff. He’s grown up so much (26). He’s never given any trouble and is always trying to learn. Righy now he still wants to be a policeman. He’s really calm and laid back so I think he’d be good in law enforcement. He’s thinking about working in detention to get some experience while he’s waiting to get on the force.

Had a good Sunday service today. I had fun playing guitar with the praise team, we jammed. We’ll start working on Christmas music next week. Should be fun. A lot more people will step up to sing so we should sound nice and full. This time of year is always fun.

Well Diana and I are off to our family small group, so I’ll get with you soon.

We all had different types of cancer and had had it for varying lengths of time. One woman had more than one type of cancer and is going into brain surgery in the morning. I believe I’m going to have a very positive experience in this group. As I sat through the group I felt inspired to go on in spite of my affliction. I wanted to create music and maybe doing some art work. Some drawing. Haven’t done that for a longtime. I’ll just take my time and get to stuff as it comes. There are plenty of music projects I’m behind on. I’ll try to push forward and get to it.

I’ve been feeling pretty good lately, even though I’m still recovering from my knee injury. Like I need something else to recover from. I’ve been eating well and haven’t had any tummy issues. So I’m gonna try and ride this one as long as I can.

I’ve got the best wify in the world. She takes such good care of me and our family. God knew who Freddy needed to make his life complete. There is no one else that could love me like she does. It’s got to be hard to be with someone that’s sick like me with cancer. I don’t always make it easy for her. It’s hard for me to depend so much on someone else. But I’m learning that I can’t do this on my own. The Lord has blessed me with Diana so I can be victorious in this thing. Praise Him! I thank god for our three kids too. They’ve given us no worries as they’ve grown up. We’re so blessed, we are.

I’ve been jamming a lot with my music and all. Diana and I sang in church last Sunday and I’m still excited. We’ve got to get more tunes together so we can use our gifts. I always have a lot of fun singing with Diana. Keeps me young, ya know?
I got a lot of tracks recorded this past week and still have lots more to get down. I’ve been laying drums and guitar and now need to record some bass tracks. It’ll take me a little time to get some basslines just right, but I’m up for the boom.

My little girl is going to her first homecoming dance tonight. Her mom and I have been talking to her the past weeks about things to lookout for and how to conduct herself. She’ll be fine, but I’m kind of excited for her. Her mom and her God sister are helping her get ready. She bought a new dress and shoes and all. Hair is all whipped up. Wow! She’s a little princess. My little princess! So we’re snapping pictures right and left. Ha ha! My babies growing up.

In spite of my fall, I’m feeling great. I start my cancer support group next Tuesday afternoon. I’m looking forward to
that. Next week should be nice and smooth. Enjoy your weekend.

Diana and I sang at church yesterday for special music. Which is sang just before the word is presented. We had a lot of fun. I haven’t sang in two and half years so I had to find new ways to sing my parts on the fly. We need to rehearse more, ‘cuase Diana has such a lovely voice and she ministers so well. I’m sure we’ll pick it up ’cause we’re both excited about using our gifts to the glory of the Lord. We hope to get Ericka involved too. She’s so talented, praise God.

I’ve run out of closet space and have come to grips (almost) with the fact that I can’t wear all of the closes I’ve got. So I’ve been going through all of my clothes and giving away a ton of stuff. Even things that I really don’t want to give away. But I’m so blessed so I’m not and won’t miss anything.

I think, Lord willing, Diana and I should start work on an EP, CD, which is a short project of at least 5 to 6 songs, and have that done by the summer ready for when we do engaements. Please pray for us to finish what the Lord has started in us. It’ll be fun putting in the work for a project like that.

Well, let me get back to work, there’s a lot still to do in my new studio space.

I’ve been really feeling good lately and think I’ve turned a corner as far as moving forward with my life. The Lord is healing the relationship with my son Frederick, IV. We’re talking more often and he’s sharing with me the happenings in his daily life. I’m also enjoying watching my little girl Ericka grow-up as she’s in high school now. What a blessing. If it gets any better I just might burst.

I had a lot of fun in church yesteray. I played guitar with the praise team and the music was kickin’ even without a drummer. We had a guest speaker, a lady (prof) from Mars Hill college that gave a sermon on race relations. She was really good to. Then Diana and I went to a small group at another church families house. It was held so that we might get to know one another better. It was prety good, a lot of laughs mixed with serious talk about our personal lives.

I went to the denist today for the first time in about four years or so. Got my teeth cleaned and found out I need a couple of crowns, which my insurance won’t pay for. But we’re looking for the Lord to provide.

I’ve really been getting back into my music too. I’ve got three tunes lined up in my laptop that I’m working on right now. Nothing but fun. Jerrold and Hala (from the church) brought almost all of my recording gear up from the basement and into a small room upstairs. So I have to get in there and get everything plugged up. Then I’ll start taping trcks into a desk top computer and then to CD. I’ve got so many fesh ideas to work out. On the gear that’s now upstairs, I’ll be able to record more synth patches (different sounds) in my music beds. Big fun mannnnnnn!

I’ve been doing my devotion in I Sam lately and it’s good. So I do devotion after breakfast and then play a little guitar. Then Mon thru FriI usually walk the mall. Trying to get stuff in line, ya know? Take it easy ya’ll.

This week was a much better week than last week for me. Less physical troubles and a lot more stability. My tapper off of the steriod I’ve been taking has been going so much better. I saw a couple of my main doctors this week and they both prescribed, again, that I play my guitar everyday. I got a lot done this week on a new tune that sounds pretty good so far. I’ll record a little bit, listen to it, and then get inspired to keep creating. So the doctors orders are working. My oncologist told me again this week that my tumor isn’t getting any bigger, nor is it shrinking, so I just have to get used to living with it. It may not get any better than this, so live life to the fullest. The doctors say I’m dealing with depression, and that I’m going to have to push through inorder to overcome the depression. The advantage that I believe I have, is my trust in Jesus Christ. God can remove the tumor all together, if he chooses. But if He doesn’t He can still give me a fullfilling life in Him. So I was and am very encouraged to go for it.

This weekend I’m finishing the move of all my recording gear moved from the basement and into a small room on the first floor of the house. Diana and I are trading rooms. She used to use the little room upsatairs as a craft room and needed more space. She had outgrown the room upstairs and my space in the basement is a little bigger, so we’re switching. Once I get it set-up I’ll be rolling. I’ll be able to slide out of bed and right into the studio. I also won’t have to deal with the stairs to the basement. God is shownuf good! The Lord is really getting me excited about playing and singing His praises.
